We are a computational biology group at The Wistar Institute in Philadelphia, established in September 2023. Our mission is to decode the splicing code that governs cell identity — and to build the platforms, algorithms, and models needed to read it at single-cell resolution.
The lab builds isoform-resolved single-cell platforms (BenchDrop-seq), probabilistic quantification methods (salmon · alevin · alevin-fry · Bagpiper), and multimodal integration frameworks (Signac, Seurat v5). We apply these tools to understand how alternative splicing and chromatin remodelling drive disease, with a current focus on melanoma and viral immune dysregulation.
